The biggest and most famous poker tournament in the world returns to Las Vegas in November.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event is set for a triumphant return after its postponement last year. In 2019, German player Hossein Ensan won the WSOP Main Event and took home € 10,000,000 that changed his life. He beat 8,569 other players to become the oldest player in 20 years to win the Main Event.

This year, sponsored by GGPoker, the WSOP returns to the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas with 88 separate events, including the one every poker player dreams of winning, the Main Event.

The Main Event begins on November 4 and costs € 10,000 to buy-in, with the winner not only winning over € 10,000,000, but also the illustrious title of winner of the WSOP Main Event.

The beauty of the WSOP is in the incredible stories and drama that flow from two months of poker action. In 2003, the brilliantly named Chris Moneymaker won the Main Event and pocketed over € 2,000,000 and changed the game of poker forever.

He was the first online tournament qualifier to win the Main Event, proving that you don't have to be a poker pro to win big at the WSOP. This led to a huge boom in poker known as the “Moneymaker Effect”. As Moneymaker, you can qualify for a $ 10,000 seat to the WSOP Main Event online at the WSOP sponsor website, GGPoker.

Every Wednesday in August, we're giving you the chance to win a spot at the 45secondes.fr WSOP final table in September. Four lucky players, a poker pro and a celebrity will face off against the final table winner taking home a € 15,000 trip to Las Vegas that includes a ticket to the WSOP Main Event.
