 This Friday, August 13, Netflix will add to its catalog The Kingdom , an Argentinian series directed and created by Marcelo Piñeyro and Claudia Piñeiro. This dramatic thriller tells the story of Emilio Vázquez Pena, a pastor who runs for the country's vice-presidency, but at the end of the campaign suffers the worst tragedy: his running mate is killed. So much so that after the fateful murder, “the man of God” finds himself between a rock and a hard place.



There are eight episodes in which The Kingdom of It combines drama, mystery, politics, religion and controversy. But, before its premiere, from Spoiler we tell you five curiosities that you must know to know more about this product from Argentina.

5 curiosities to know about The Kingdom:

1. The protagonists:

The series features one of the best castings in the country. As the protagonist, Emilio Vázquez will be Diego Peretti and the cast will be completed by Joaquín Furriel (Rubén), Mercedes Morán (Elena), Chino Darín (Julio), Peter Lanzani (Tadeo), Nancy Dupláa (Roberta) and Vera Spinetta (Ana ).

2. The staging:

Being an Argentinian product, this series takes place exclusively in its country of origin. Likewise, fiction has been able to marry to perfection a religious temple which is in conjunction with the pastor's house which has spectacular windows.

3. How many seasons does it have?

So far, Netflix has only confirmed one season. But, we also have to remember that on-demand service usually renews tapes after the first few weeks of release based on their success. That is, there will probably be no news of a new edition for at least two weeks.

4. Number of episodes:

The first part of El Reino has only eight episodes of 50 minutes each. And in them, the tension increases, making the series one of the most convincing of recent times.

5. Filming during a pandemic:

On January 29, 2020, Netflix confirmed the start of filming, but in March of the same year, they had to suspend recordings due to the COVID 19 pandemic. However, in October, they managed to get back to work respecting the protocols: distance, chin straps, tests for the whole team and guarantees the cleanliness of all places.
