October is fast approaching and while Halloween Kills may not be the first horror film of 2021, it is certainly one of the most anticipated. Now, we have even more reasons to be excited to see what Micheal Myers is up to. A new Halloween Kills novel is also set to be released in October with the new film.

October 15, Halloween Kills is coming to the big screen. Of course, everyone is wondering how he survived (again) and will he actually die this time around? Because the new movie is a direct sequel and gaining momentum, they decided to release a novel. Because who doesn't want to read about a killer who can't die and who kills whoever he wants? Halloween Kills: The official novelization of the film is written by Tim Wagoner and will be released on October 19 to accompany the film.

The official Penguin Random House page doesn't give us much information about the novel outside of a movie synopsis. Why would they do it though? In the days of spoilers, you need to keep things fairly close to the chest.

If we've learned anything from the film novels of the past, it's that they can and often differ from the final film version. Some are based on deleted scenes or alternate endings. While others just take liberties with certain aspects of the story. So we got to see some of that in the novel. Maybe more depth to Michael Myers or more murders. I vote for more suicide.

The Halloween Kills Book, published by Titan Books, costs € 8.99 and is currently available for pre-order. There appear to be 320 pages, and fans can order and buy from websites like Amazon , Barnes & Noble, Books A Million, Target , and Walmart . The cover is exactly the same as the movie poster.

Halloween Kills is technically the 13th film in a franchise that spans over forty years. However, as we learned from the previous movie ( Halloween Returns) these movies skipped all movies after the two originals. We also have a third and final (possibly) movie titled Halloween Ends In 2022.

So the franchise has had its ups and downs when it comes to movies. There is no doubt that the two originals are nearly perfect for the time of release and the genre. We also got the intruder with Halloween 3: Season of the Witch but then returned to see our shadow figure start killing again in the fourth movie. Rob Zombie had his chance but met mixed reviews. Personally, I liked them both, I liked the first rather than the second but that's just me. Now it seems like we have a clear direction and ending for our characters and at first glance they're really playing out with a bang.

Along with the book, action figures, movies, and graphic novels, the Halloween franchise is one of the biggest in the horror genre and one to watch for the season.
